  • John Stevens | MSc BSc (Hons) MRICS | Managing Director / Director, Asset Service

    John is responsible for developing, managing and delivering business strategy, to maximise shareholder value and return-on-investment. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, John was responsible for the operations of the Asteco Property Management Department across the region.

    Before joining Asteco in 2004, John worked in South East Asia for 10 years managing some of the region’s best known property portfolios gaining a wide range of experience from Property, Asset and Strata Management to Workspace and Facilities Management for fortune 500 clients.

    John has continued his specialization in this field and has been a pioneer in the establishment and continued development of professional management services. He is respected within the industry for developing this service.

    With the experience of providing strategic property advice to owners and occupiers, he has a unique and detailed understanding of the operation, maintenance and planning involved in managing clients’ portfolios with the goal of assisting them to achieve their real estate objectives.

    John Allen | BSc MRICS | Director, Valuation & Advisory

    John brings a wealth of international property expertise to the company, having worked over the past thirty years in both the property services and real estate development sectors in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and the GCC.

    He has worked with the First Pacific Davies group (now Savills) since 1988, as Director of the valuation and research division in Hong Kong, and, subsequently from 1992, as Director and General Manager of the company’s development group, active throughout south-east Asia.

    His specific area of expertise is development management, dealing with the master planning and design process and commercial analysis of all real estate categories within medium to large scale projects. Specific projects in recent years include the planning, design and commercial negotiations of a major mixed use project in the Philippines, the construction of a serviced apartment and office building in Vietnam, two residential and office buildings in Hong Kong, and two residential projects in Kuala Lumpur.

    Sean McCauley | MBA BCom | Director, Agency Services

    A real estate professional possessing over 15 years of experience in property sales and leasing, property development and business development, Sean is responsible for driving the growth and development of the Sales and Leasing Divisions of Asteco.

    Prior to joining Asteco, Sean was the Vice President of Sales for the largest private real estate developer in the Middle East where he was involved in over 30 projects in several countries across the MENA region.

    Sean also played a pivotal role in building and expanding Rawson Properties into one of South-Africa’s largest real estate companies, which resulted in the company being nominated as a ‘Superbrand”.

    Through Sean’s leadership, the Agency division strategically monitors customer, market and competitor activities, to conceptualize tailor-made sales and leasing strategies. With a results driven team, these strategies are successfully implemented to attain customer attraction, acquisition and retention.

    Sean’s applied strategic sales and leasing methodologies, deep sector experience, stakeholder management and negotiation skills have been tried and tested and deliver optimum results in any given market and economic climate.

    Anne Marie Shein | | Associate Director - Asset Management

    Anne Marie has acquired exceptional real estate market experience and knowledge during her 15-year career. Previously responsible for the sizeable portfolio of UAE-headquartered Union Properties, she is an expert in the areas of commercial and residential property management as well as leasing, facilities management, client relationships and retail management.

    Anne Marie has been managing a mixed portfolio comprising of five million square feet of warehousing and labour camps, as well as overseeing over a million-square-foot commercial Grade A property and 3,000 plus units residential portfolio. Working directly with the developer, her main responsibilities included close collaboration with project management, timely handover oversight and client satisfaction.

    In addition to technical skills, she is adept at people management, budgeting and target management as well as tender preparation and quality control-led subcontractor management.

    James Joughin | BSc (Hons) MRICS | Associate Director - Valuations

    James has over 11 years’ experience working in real estate consultancy and corporate property investment through which he has gained extensive knowledge of valuations, development consultancy, disposals and acquisitions. Prior to joining Asteco, he was employed as Head of Valuation – Abu Dhabi for DTZ-International.

    James has valued a range of properties, including master planned developments, landmark commercial and residential towers, hotels and retail malls located across the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

    Melnora Francisco Burayag | BCom | Associate Director - Finance

    An expert finance professional with over nine years’ experience handling all the fiscal aspects of Asteco, Melnora is responsible for the review and evaluation of financial accounting systems, management reporting, review accounting and collection procedures, operating systems and budget preparation.

    A member of the senior team for over 12 years, she is the brains behind our highly efficient accounting systems that drive corporate productivity and which has positioned the team as leaders in their field with unparalleled competence in the provision of financial forecasting data
    She also oversees the annual financial spending strategy, based on careful analysis of current income and expenditure patterns as well as identifying and providing solutions for all financial risks impacting the operation.

    Morgan Dalton | PGdip | Associate Director - Asset Management

    Reporting to the Managing Director/Director-Asset Services, Morgan is a senior member of the Asset Management team with a mandate to provide direction and assistance to the property management team, and ensuring a quality-led service for the company’s large client list representing all asset classes from single unit properties to multi-storey towers.

    With previous experience in high profile mixed-use commercial development in his native New Zealand, boutique hotel management in the UK and hands-on management of HNWI private/luxury yacht asset-based clients, he is an invaluable member of the Asteco team.

    Morgan also oversees policy and process revision and implementation involved to ensure world-class service standards and real estate service delivery. A key member of the team since 2008, he is recognised for his contribution to the overall success of the business in terms of service tendering, scope of work development and SOP expertise, combined with KPI setting.

    Nick White | | Associate Director - Owners Association

    Taking on the role of Association Manager in 2010, Nick brings jointly owned property management experience from the UK and a wide skill set from management, construction and civil fields to the Asteco senior management team.
    His fast-track experience has stood him in good stead and he currently manages our jointly owned property portfolio of Owners Associations and Bodies Corporate, which comprises of multi-use properties including residential, commercial, hotel and retail units.

    Experience in building and contract management, quality assessment, service and maintenance coordination, has enabled Nick to develop exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to implement effective action plans to achieve results.

    As a leading consultant in the field of jointly owned property, Nick builds relationships with developers, policy makers, authorities, individual property owners, management boards and service providers, satisfying the requirements of multiple stakeholders.

    Tamer Chaaban | | Associate Director and General Manager

    Tamer has long played a pivotal role in the development of Asteco’s presence in Al Ain. As General Manager for the branch, Tamer has built a solid reputation for achieving Customer satisfaction and maintaining Asteco’s solid reputation in the real estate field.

    With over eight years’ experience in financial and administrative management, Tamer has been instrumental in growing the Asteco brand name in Al Ain by directing operations within the office whilst maximising profits.

    Tamer’s roles include hiring and management of an executive team within Al Ain, budgeting and financial management while also developing business objectives and goals.
